As time went by, things started to change and the place I once desired to be became one of my regrets. Little did I know that all the fun that I enjoyed during the first days would turn into a nightmare a few days later? It was the third-week-first-term when I heard from my instructors saying that we were going to begin the midterms. The news freaked me out for almost three days when I was trying to find myself from the deepest confusion ever happened to me. Trying to adjust to the quarter system was not easy for me because of the-new-experience. Some of you came from high school or transferred from a school that runs on semesters. You might feel that you miss something. You used to have all the time in the world to-study-joke around-in the end; you still manage to do everything because there was enough time for all that. However, the quarter system is something that can turn you into a delusional-person on campus.

After the first term, however, I came to understand the benefits of a quarter systems that made me even like the whole system even more. In the quarter system, when one misses registering for a class he/she can make up for that class within the three terms in a year, and you dont get stuck with instructors you hate! As compared to the semester system where one has to wait for another year to catch up with the missed class. Quarter system exposes learners to more knowledge in various fields through taking more classes. Although, it is a lot of work; to me I think it is worth it! Registration in a school that operates on quarter system like OSU might be tricky; however, with the right strategies and information you can come over it. Registering a course does not guarantee you that you will get the course; many people apply for the course. Therefore, the trick here is to apply a course with few people or less popular so as to ensure that you get to attend the classes.

The first days of being in OSU and any other school that runs on the quarter system might be obnoxious; however, when you become patient and understand the secrets of this system, it will be one of the most-awesome-things that ever happened to you on campus. For me, I took the first three days to reschedule my plan for the term and tried to fix everything to fit in the remaining weeks of the term. And once I worked with the schedule I found everything back to normal just like I wanted it. I created a list of activities that I was doing in in a weekly plan that enabled me to use the limited time appropriately. Being in college is fun and sometimes friends might tell you to go to a movie with them; dont be afraid to say no! However, that doesnt mean that you should be studying all the time. With a lot of workloads, one would need a space to free the mind.

When I came to understand the good-sides-of-quarter-system I managed to survive it because I embraced it; dont try to fight it because this will only make it harder for you. Everything will come to pass; all it takes is patience. So, just be patient and know that everything will get better before you even know it. However, this does not mean that you dont have to study or take your studies seriously. You have to know the reason why you are in school; therefore, as you sit back there and enjoy the new environment, you must know that you have ambitions to achieve; thus, you need to put more effort.

This argument is mainly aimed at helping the freshmen in campus to understand their environment and continue working hard despite the challenges and difficult times in campus. Being in a new place and trying to adapt to the new things and faces around might be difficult especially for the young freshmen from high school; therefore, giving them motivation and making them understand the environment can help them change their perception about the difficulties and hardships in campus.

What details did you choose to include in your content to make your argument specifically appealing to this audience?

Some of the main details that I chose to include in my content include the strategies to understand the life in campus. I tried to explain this content by comparing the life in a school that operates on quarter system like OSU and semester system like many high schools. Another detail was to give the audience the understanding that the experiences they are going through is not new; they arent the only people to go through this alone. I wanted to assure them that other people have gone through the same and survived.

In this content, I hoped to achieve the inspirational tone; this tone was aimed at encouraging the audience to understand their environment. My aim was to reassure them that despite every challenge that they pass through, they are not alone in it. This tone was achieved with Everything will come to pass; all it takes is patience found in the last paragraph of the draft.
