Nursing is a relevant course within the modern society given the increasing need to administer patient care. Given such reasoning, I would like to pursue a nursing course and finally work as a registered nursing practitioner in Texas. The decision to venture into the nursing career develops from the fact that Registered Nurses work in various professional fields that include the military hospitals, the nursing homes and healthcare facilities. Additionally, such people have the unique opportunity to work as traveling nurses (Ciocco, 2015).
Education and training
The academic background for the registered nurses revolves around two alternatives that include the associate degree program abbreviated as the bachelors degree program usually abbreviated as the BSN Bickerstaff, 2015). On the same note, registered nurses can choose to specialize through programs such as the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Nurse take a particular training that includes the classroom and clinical environment where they learn nursing skills like patient care and medical terminology. The education usually costs about $5127.64 for a full course. Such programs may be available at the University of Texas nursing branch.
Payment and flexibility
The other important element of mention is that the registered nurses within Texas make an approximated amount of $67,580 annually. Such a figure is attractive given the nature of their job that includes the administration of either primary or acute care duties. As an aspiring registered nurse, there is the wish that I hold dear to work in the Texas department of aging and a disability service which is a nursing facility in Texas City that has helped improve the lives of many people over the last years.
Conclusively, the decision to pursue a particular career within the contemporary society develops in the sense that one feel connected to the said career path. In this view, I opt to pursue the nursing career given that I am compassionate at heart and love to offer assistance to the sick.
