During my elementary school, I was not sure what I wanted to be. However, I would tell my parents, friends and teachers that I wanted to be an engineer even without the slightest idea what it involved. May be I was influenced by my uncle who is a civil engineer in Saudi Arabia and who has always been my mentor and my role model during my childhood and my youth. By the time I joined high school, I had developed a real passion for computers, although I was not sure the exact specialization that I would follow. I wished to become one of the best presentable computer scientists in the world. My aptitude for mathematics, chemistry, physics and computer studies supported my desires. My habits and admiration of solving peoples problems using my mental capacity helped me to further narrow down to computer and Information science during my undergraduates. I wanted to make my problem-solving skills my profession. Having an exemplary performance and the various skills that I have gained in the field of Information System, I am motivated to take a step forward to advance my profession. The various trainings I have undergone and which relate to information systems together with the five years working experience adequately equips me to undertake a masters degree in Information System (Business and System Analysis). I believe this degree will quench the thirst I have for my profession and will prepare me to better solve peoples problems in the society.

While undertaking my bachelors degree in information system, I always enjoyed networking, system development, and programming. The skills I gained from these units together with the working experience in Information Technology (IT) service management (ITIL Foundation), system analyst (Alzamil Company) and assistant project manager (Madar Company) have equipped me to understand better and accomplish Information Science (Business and System Analysis) masters degree. I am certainly convinced that this is my actual line of specialization because, besides my interests in the courses mentioned above, I am interested in understanding how businesses are run, and the strategies of running big businesses as I am hoping to start my firm in the future. I believe the technical knowledge and skills that I will gain from this masters degree will equip me to start better the company and run it professionally.

As a system analyst at Alzamil Company I gained various analytical skills that are central in accomplishing a masters degree in Information Science (Business and System Analysis). I learned to synthesize and analyze business data to help in solving business problems by implementing technological systems in the firm. I also gained adequate problem-solving skills by analyzing the user requirements and procedures that can help in improving the existing businesses through automating the existing computer systems and to achieve constant work flow. As an assistant project manager at Madar Company, I acquired critical managerial skills that are necessary in the management of the projects. Working in this company assisted me to learn to plan the project scope, handle change requests from various departments, direct the staffs efficiently, forecasting the companys budget as well as ensuring every worker in a given project are working within the allotted time frames. I am confident that these technical, analytical and problem solving skills will be crucial in the accomplishment of a masters degree in Information Science (Business and System analysis). It is my expectation that, this masters program will help me to further improve these skills so that I can supervise projects of all sizes from conception to implementation.

While working, I have been gradually developing my profession by studying courses that relate to my career and which can help me to advance my studies. I have attended and accomplished ITIL V3 Service Management Foundation course. I also attended Project Server 2010 Administration Workshop and IT service management. These short courses increased my understanding of Information System and its applications in businesses. They are added advantage of my masters degree program as they contain some of the central concepts in the program. Additionally, I will bring in the skills I gained from these short courses together with my working experience to help my peers in the masters program. They will help me to mingle with others, form new relationships and establish networks with my fellow peers. As we interact, I will also learn from them to get new concepts of how they solve various business problems. Also, interacting with other students from various parts of the world will be resourceful and will create room for the conception of new ideas and techniques of solving problems in the business world.

Besides my great focus on studies, I participate in games and sports to break learning and working monotony. I enjoy playing basketball as it helps me to think very fast and make informed decisions within a very short period. More so, basketball refreshes my mind, creating more capacity to work and learn. I also play chess. It helps me to think creatively and strategize prior to making decisions. I love playing chess because it not only helps me to think while playing, but also helps me to employ its principles at work and while doing my studies. My involvement in the games further helps me in making my relationships stronger and establishing new friends and networks. I am planning to maintain my games and sports spirit, even as I undertake my masters degree program.

My choice of this university was arrived at after careful and thorough analysis of the institutions that offer Information Science (Business and System Analysis). I settled at this institution because it has adequate technological resources to offer an advanced program in Information Science (Business and System Analysis). Besides, the reputation of the institution attracted me as I would like to be involved with it and the famous persons who have graduated from the university.
